1) This middle-aged, non-attractive woman had the audacity to desire a fame that is usually restricted to the most attractive in our culture.
2) See #1.
3) Appearance is NOT the highest blessing that God can bestow, and inner beauty and talent are not determined by outward beauty.
Probably my favorite part of the entire clip is when Susan is about half-way through the song and the judges are just beaming at her. It's like they can't stop smiling, and I think that that made them (the judges) look more beautiful as well, as though the beauty of Susan's voice was reflected in their smiles. It reminds me that we were created to be reflections of God to each other.

1. Her looks
2. Her looks
3. You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.
I have heard so many people talking about this woman's looks this week. All I've been able to think is, "Why does it matter what she looks like? She sure can sing!" God has blessed her with this amazing talent.
It should be a wake-up call to all of us...because we all tend to do this. God made every person and we are called to love others just the way He made them.

Ken I am going to memorize, copy, cut, paste that prayer because I am just quick to upset at people because they dont fit my mold thank you. As far as Susan Boyle is proof that we need to read the book before we comment.

I saw that clip a few days ago Ken, but I never saw the story behind it. Wow is right.
I love her voice - she is amazing.
Thank you for posting both.
