All that is good about the “Christmas Spirit” springs from the Christ child and the mission He finished here on earth. Merry Christmas from our family to yours. May God’s love and grace comfort you and bring you great joy this season and throughout the new year.

It has been almost 10 years since the day my dad was buried with military honors. At his memorial service I read a letter written by my friend Danny de Armas. Danny met my dad on several occasions but never realized he was talking to a hero.
I dedicate this letter and this post to all who have served in the armed forces. what you don’t know can hurt you!

Although my body was moving, my brain was not fully functional. It’s called “brain lag.” It’s like jet lag only without the plane.
She’s gone! The thought yanked my brain into the present.
