It’s Lighten Up Monday! Today’s clip has made the rounds but I had to share it with you. Watch what happens as Mary Maxwell is asked to pray at a senior citizen event.
This woman is amazing. I wish I could meet her.
Stay with it! About ninety seconds into the prayer is when the fun begins.
In light of the events of the past week I felt that there is little I could say in a blog post that would be more important than to encourage you to pray for the families affected by the Orlando attack. I have no hollow words of advice or attempts at explanation.
Like you I am stunned and my heart is broken for the families and friends of those who were lost. In a world where there seems no direction to turn to find good, I pray…
For those affected by this tragedy
For our country
Please Lord. Help us hold tight to faith in the One who is our only hope.
Tyler, The prayer warrior!
Several years ago my daughter Traci dropped a heavy block of wood on her foot and broke a toe. The pain was agonizing but there a was a deeper disappointment that drove her to tears.
She had trained to run a half-marathon to benefit Cooper Trooper an organization dedicated to helping the families and siblings of children who have faced life threatening disease.
With her face in her hands Traci sat on the couch sobbing. Then she heard the tiny voice of her three year old son, Tyler. “You want me to pray for your toe?”
I debated whether to share this story, but I have no choice. I have run into so many people who are struggling and wonder if there is any hope.
This is exhibit “A” that there is hope!
In this post is the unbelievable entry I wrote in my journal over ten years ago and the story of how God’s amazing grace brought me out of the valley of the shadow of death.
Reading this entry drove me to my knees thanking God for the full life I am living today.
This is my granddaughter Jadyn when she was a small child.
During that period as I experienced some very deep emotional struggles, Jadyn had a powerful impact on my life. Here is the story.
