  1. Best gift of this type I ever got was my first wedding anniversary. My husband six months prior had been in a serious accident and was now in a cast, with crutches and couldnt work. I was working double time shifts just to keep us going and when I came home from work on the night of our wedding anniversary, he had a candle between his toes, playing the crutch like a guitar and sang our wedding song. He had also managed to make a pretty tasty dinner hopping around the kitchen.

  2. Some time ago I read on a church board, “Marriage is a duet,
not a duel.” It’s a quote I have used many, many times. My philosophy is
simple, keep my lady happy and she will keep me happy. It’s all about knowing
    their love language.

  5. This is written in the style of a Dave Barry column — that is to say, hilarious! Well done! And not only is it funny, but the application to love and marriage rings poignant! Thanks for sharing.

  6. I got to listen to Ken Davis tell the story above, & much more, on the radio this afternoon. Several times I found myself laughing out loud, while @ other times I was deeply moved by his candidness & stories of his own personal growth in life, & how he attested of God’s unconditional love for us, however imperfect or flawed we might be. He assured us it was ok to be our imperfect selves, that God could use us to do good just as we are.
Hearing him speak left me wanting to hear more, which I’ve been searching the internet for so that I cud share his wonderful, funny, heartfelt, deeply inspirational messages with others.
So I’m wondering when he will u be in the Columbia, SC, area? If just listening to him is this good, how much better it must be to get to SEE him perform!
